Rick, Your your intuition has always benefited you, and us as an audience. As the impossible does not seem to come-up on your radar. You have been weaving straw into gold since the start of your filmmaking career. I have found inspiration from your films and it has awaken the Don Quixote in me and thousands of others. You are a trail blazer. BRAVO!
Thanks Bill! Just did s screen-shot of this spectacular praise—keeping for ‘old age’ which I have(!). And like I’ve posted here and in several books, there would have been NO semblance of a career/NO movies without your support 50+ years ago. Hard to fit a proper THANK YOU in this little window, but rest assured I tried. Hopefully your new doc, “I Wanted To Be a Man With a Gun” showers U with the rewards/shows/awards you deserve!
Nice to see where you folks are living. Given what is going on in US, seems unlikely I'll ever get there in person. Maybe I missed it, but did you ever get a 1988 digital restoration? Hope so. Hugs from a hot muggy Kolkata. xx
Hi Jon! Yeah, we were lucky to arrive in this affordable ‘‘poorest county in NM’ just before covid. After coming here we discovered a Med. clinic that had a sliding scale for even dentistry. So been good! Hope U get back to US again and we’ll get 2 C U. 1988 hasn’t got its restoration day, but thanks for the thought! Hugs back and good luck on LA and other screenings (desert croquet awaits!). Love, R&J
“1988 in its cumulative preposterous flummery is a spirited outcry for people to throw off the covert and overt forms of oppression and be themselves." There it is, again. That wonderful Vic Skolnick review!

Thanks for this inspiration-back-comment Bill. I don't forget U pushing me hard to apply for the AFI grant that funded this! THANKS AGAIN!

Thank you, Rick. A fascinating recollection and I very much enjoyed the beginning celebratory video, an rich unfurling, indeed.
Thanks Galen. Lovely to hear your ‘comment’ voice! Always makes me see better a new depth to my posts.
