And we (you and I, I think) are good at using past memories for our art. Your profound paintings feel that way, like they’re tapping some other time, some other place, because they have that extra richness. So THANKS for this thoughtful comment—making me think!

EXACTLY!! A good (and hilarious) reminder, to me, of the beauty of a meditation practice, even just 5 minutes in the morning, when we find a way to go into SILENCE, back into that Place we were before thrust out of our mother's womb into THE NOISE.

Thanks Steve. Now remembering that “Silence is Golden” phrase. Here’s what Google says: The phrase “silence is golden” comes from an ancient proverb: “speech is silver, silence is golden.” In other words, both are precious, with silence considered the more valuable.
