Wow! Another marvelous examination of Creativity. What strikes me about this story, and what I’m learning, even late in life, about my own “best process” is this: It seems to me that there’s such a difference between focusing on some pre-determined outcome, and trying to fit creativity around that, or, instead, following the intuitive, in-the-moment “directives” that come from some Mystery we can’t control in the same way. Your apparent insistence on paying attention to the Mystery (for example relying on “real” everyday people, not always trained actors, and favoring improvisation over scripting) bears such tasty fruit.
