thanks Rick I'm being silly if I cared about following rules I'd follow em...lol...i did finally learn to remember the form for haikuus cuz a musician friend from Austin with some fellow fan friends did a hillbilly haiku show out there and I was playing along for fun from afar...

These have gotten me "studying" the origins and history of limericks. As you might know, Ogden Nash sits atop most "Best Limericks" lists. What I just discovered is that he invented his own short-form limerick which he called a "Limmick." It had fewer lines and syllables, a slightly different rhyme-scheme. Here's a sample:

Two nudists of Dover,

Being purple all over,

Were munched by a cow

When mistaken for clover
