Speaking of "minimalist," this sentence from the Lauren Berlander review reminds me of something a spiritual teacher I pay attention to once said:

“The only ‘sin’ is to not see the Divine in EVERYTHING.”

Well put, Steve. THANKS. Everything, it also seems 2 me, is dvine. Or, SEEING THINGS AT BEST; There is no good or bad, just what is..(and even the bad seems to have a purpose...). To apply this to the current political scene may be a stretch, but...
