This short 15 min.movie was shot between me being picked up at OKLAHOMA CITY airport, and transported to a film festival called Bare Bones in Muskogee. The driver was an actor so I asked him if he wouldn’t mind stopping at an antique mall on the way in, where maybe we could shoot something. He must have said, “Sure.” And since I had my little Sony TRV-10 1-chip camera along I started thinking “Movie-making” and some understandable story structure Within not much longer than an hour I’d shot him and his actress friend Casey at her job, videotaped him driving, then “antiquing” at the mall, next visiting a local bank then arriving at the festival office. I made up a story about him needing to raise his mortgage $ from scoring a valuable antique to sell. We had some laughs, and once at the film festival I also recorded a young woman, Annie Ellicott, who was singing her heart out in the ante-space between front and interior doors of the festival entrance (she was young enough that her mother had to sign her actor/musical Release form for my movie-in-progress.) (Annie’s since become a major attraction in Oklahoma, so it almost feels like I discovered her!).
IN ANY CASE, PLEASE ENJOY THIS 15-MINUTE., OFF-THE-CUFF FLICK!
